Online theoretical lectures and on-site hands-on sessions

VENUE:

CICS-UBI - Health Sciences Research Centre, University of Beira Interior, Covilhã (Portugal)

TARGET AUDIENCE:

MSc, PhD students and research scientists who are interested in light/fluorescence microscopy and image analysis

TOPICS:

- Basic concepts of fluorescence microscopy: methods and applications;

- Basic concepts of digital images: acquisition and analysis;

- Multidimensional data: 2D, 3D, time-lapse, positions

- Image analysis: fluorescence intensity, morphology, co-localization, tracking

- Image processing: deconvolution

- Introduction to image analysis and processing softwares: ImageJ/Fiji, Imaris, Huygens

REGISTRATION:

- Limited to 15 participants: for attending the complete course (theoretical + hands-on sessions)
- Unlimited number of participants: for attending only theoretical lectures

REGISTRATIONS ARE CLOSED

FEES:

- Theoretical lectures: 40 EUR, includes access to theoretical course materials and certificate
- Complete course (theoretical lectures + hands-on sessions): 150 EUR, includes access to all course materials and certificate, as well as the meals of the hands-on sessions' day
